This month's Runner of the Month signed up for last year's Zero to 5k Hero.

Each week she turned up, determination written all over her face and on 01 July 2017 she graduated with a massive smile.

She joined the Monday night 5k group and no matter how tough the route or how steep the hill, she never gave up and kept on going, always with that smile on her face!

She went from being at the back of the group to gradually moving forward until she finally made the giant leap to the 8k and 10k groups, proving that they aren't as scary as they seem! On 04 February 2018, less than a year after taking up running, she ran her first 10k race at Dewsbury 10k.

She has embraced ASR and parkrun, volunteering to help at both and showing support to others.

She is an absolute pleasure to run with.
