This run was the first club charity run for the clubs newly voted charity for 2022/23.

Although it's not a charity the club is really happy about what we are raising funds for this coming year.

The club has agreed with local artist Rick Goodwin to start our very own Baxenden running bugs carved themed bench. This bench will then be placed within the grounds of Haworth Park for the community to use. These benches look absolutely stunning and there's a number of them now in local parks and this club will be the only running club with one.

£72 was raised from the first run on Thursday which started the 5k from the Village club car park and runners on there return enjoyed and well earned drink at the Dog & Partridge as well as a club quiz organised by the social committee and Sue Pearsons team was the winner
