I started my running journey in January 2014 after a life changing event. Having not been an active runner since leaving school, I thought this was going ot be a challenge. Being part of the Lions Running Community definitely helped me get into my stride. I have found becoming a run leader rewarding not simply as a personal goal but also in the help I provide to others in either starting their run journey or helping them progress. If there is one piece of advice I would give to runners (which was given to me) it would be that you can achieve anything if you set your mind to it. Only you hold you back!
