Running Works: New Year, New You!

Step 1: Find Running Friends with Running Works!
You don’t know us, but running really brings people together. We welcome all abilities and would love to have you and your friends join one of our groups – just send a message!
Step 2: Start Running Regularly
Diary at least 3 sessions weeks, starting with run / walk for the next few weeks. Keep a diary or time or distance and add some smiley faces to record how amazing you feel!
Next – pop your running shoes on and head out for session!
Step 3: Set a running fitness GOAL
Could be to run 12 times in Jan or run for 30 minutes nonstop by end of Feb or book a Park Run in the diary or a longer distance, lose weight, make friends – RUNNING WORKS will help our members with all of your running plans!
Step 4: Get the Hydration Habit
Drink water. Even in winter we sweat a lot when exercising, plus drinking water can help you lose weight!
Step 5: Get Strong and Bendy!
Building strength and flexibility is key, you will always find we dedicate some of our Running Works session to strength work and a good long stretch at the end! Diary 2 x 15 minute sessions in per week. If you can’t make a session, try some core work, or some squats & lunges to get you started! Don’t forget to stretch!!
Step 6: Share the fun!
