My running career has not been long, before this I was a swimmer and lifeguard and I do still love the water, it is amazing for no impact cross training. I have completed a number of 10k and 1/2 marathon road races over the past few years. I managed to achieve my goal of a sub 2 hour 1/2 marathon at Chesterfield 2019. I am currently training for my first marathon in October 2020. So I'm not a fast runner but that's not what it's all about for me. Being out in the open air with a good group of people is an amazing feeling and once my marathon is done I am going to get out onto the trails and focus more on running just because I can in places I love to be, basically the hills of the peak district and lake district.
