Session plans for next 3 months
Indoor sessions to be planned from September, Ben Hale led the sessions last winter once a month for 3 months. Darren stated he would be willing to lead indoor sessions in Autumn/Winter months, discussed that the indoor session will be included as one of the 2 run sessions offered and will not be additional (i.e., will not be 3 run sessions in that week) (Since the meeting this proved not to be possible due to availability of the hall - sessions will be on a Wednesday)
Darren is offering a club session at the Sheepmount track on the 23rd September, 11 am -12 , £4 per person
Run leaders discussed offering longer runs during the lighter nights, generally 2 Routes are being planned to offer different durations to cater for the majority of members. Run backs were discussed, run leaders who are running at the front of the group are happy to continue to do run to the back of the group.
Action
Michelle to check availability of Bolton Low Houses Hall and Darren to confirm his availability.
Charity 10k update
The race subcommittee are in regular contact to plan the event, Linda and Michelle are part of the group, 53 people have signed up to run, 150 places are available. The funding from Futamura and Innovia has been received, they have provided £500 sponsorship each. The medals have been designed, the race verifier is aware of the race date, Liz’s Country Kitchen will be providing the refreshments. The charity selected this year was MND, the committee agreed that Sue Hopper should be invited to start the race.
Action
Sarah to contact Sue to see if she is able to start the race.
Finance report
Linda gave an overview of club accounts. The clubs current available balance is £2,100 (taking into account the £1000 sponsorship money earmarked for the 10k). The banking details have been transferred to Linda following a delay by the bank in managing the change of signatories.
Funding
Co-Op-Wigton Road runners’ community funding will end in October, the club will then receive the balance raised. Discussed the funding will enable purchases of running equipment, quality resistance bands etc.
Christmas Party
This is booked at Greenhill 9th December; 19 people have booked places.

Elaine confirmed the process for application of a club place for the London marathon, she explained that Wigton Road runners are eligible for 1 place, Elaine will progress the application when this is available (usually November). Michelle outlined the criteria to be eligible for a place, all agreed the criteria, entries will be collected and the winner of the place randomly selected.
