#runandrevise
By Natalie Giles
I started running for the first time with Ossy Joggers. At first, I didn't like the idea of doing C25K with my Mum at all and I thought that my Dad promising he'd run parkrun with me if I completed it was some kind of punishment; I've now done 15 Parkruns. Now I love running, especially with Ossy Joggers. Since completing C25K in November, I ran Brun Valley 10k and Hameldon Hill as part of Ossy Joggers and I absolutely love it. Everyone is so supportive and it makes running really enjoyable. It's easy to get stressed over exams especially with the pressure to do well. For me, running is an easy and fun way to forget about them for a bit. It is a pressure free environment and helps to clear my head of the stress that exams cause and gives me something else to focus my attention on. Its an enjoyable way to relax and gain some headspace, which makes it easier when I revise.
Some revision tips: Work in short bursts so you can keep focus. Don't be afraid to use mind maps, colours and pictures to help you remember things. Highlighting key information in your textbook can also help. Repeat to remember and remember to repeat. Repetition is a good way to learn key points. Use practice questions so when it comes to the real exam you know what to expect. Practice like it's real and then when it's real it's like practice. Good luck to everyone doing exams !!
