How to find us
Durham Mums on the Run
DH1 3JU
A friendly inclusive running group for women in Durham who run or want to start running. We aim to improve our running (whatever our ability), get fit and strong, all whilst having a great time. Although we're called 'DMotR', all women are welcome to run with us and we have lots of women who aren't mums. Our focus is running and we don't talk about kids all the time!
Each Monday morning in school term time we offer an all-ability track session so you can work at your own pace. This session is for you even if you've just started running and want to improve but will also stretch those who are more experienced runners. Most weeks we also offer a post natal group, C25K groups, hill sesssions and off road runs. Babies in buggies are welcome to our sessions; if babies are content or sleeping they can be left trackside under the watchful eye of a leader or buggies can be pushed on the track if baby needs movement. We always recover properly with coffee afterwards in the Maiden Castle cafe. We hope you will meet lots of likeminded people, make some great friends, run strong and have fun! We look forward to meeting you.
We also offer a Thursday night training session which has a number of runs of varying distances and paces, see our runs page for full details.
We are enormously grateful to Sport England and The National Lottery for funding our Monday morning track sessions, allowing us to offer them free to all runners. THANK YOU!
