Affiliated Members
Become an Affiliated Member with Haxby Runners - we would love to have you join us!
Whilst there is no charge for coming along to one of our runs so you can see if it's for you, we do hope that as you get more comfortable and become part of our community that you will consider joining us officially!
There are so many reasons to join.
Affiliation means that you become a recognised member with England Athletics (they will get £20 from every member in 25/26) and the rest of the money goes to Haxby Runners to help us run and develop the club.
In particular, this is helping;
·support our community to develop and train our leaders and purchase safety equipment (hi viz, first aid kits, etc) so that we can offer more club run options and the club is sustainable into the future.
·give members discounts at National retail outlets such as sportshoes.com
·members benefit from reduced entry fees to the majority of races and sometimes special access to league races.
·members feel part of something special by wearing the club colours and can choose from some exciting and quality vests / hoodies and other merchandise.
·develop a range of discounts with local suppliers; those already onboard include physiotherapists, podiatrists, sports energy products, local companies including Curious Coffee and Quinns and Up and Running in York.
·introduce some further specialised runs / sessions into our programme geared towards members of all abilities.
·hold regular club meetings where affiliated members can be involved and share ideas, opinions and experience so that everyone can play a part in developing and growing our amazing club.
The yearly fee for affiliation from April 2025 through to March 2026 will be £35. If you are interested in joining us and supporting the club and its development please let us know by emailing us at haxbyrunners@gmail.com and we can get you signed up.
