Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before joining Newburn Running Club

1. Do I need to be fast to join?

No — we welcome all paces.
For our paced group runs, we recommend runners can complete 5km in around 42 minutes.
If you’re outside this, please still contact us — we can support you to get there.

2. I’m totally new to running — can I still come along?

Absolutely! Beginners are always welcome, and our twice-yearly Couch to 5k is perfect for anyone starting out.

3. Do you run a Couch to 5k programme?

It’s friendly, structured, and perfect for absolute beginners or returning runners.

We train every Tuesday and Thursday evening, with sessions starting promptly at 7:15pm.
