I never planned to be a runner, but inspired by others around me I found myself at RTC on the Couch to 5k course in early 2022, having previously been doing the course elsewhere before lockdown. I completed the course with RTC twice or maybe 3 times, told you I was a serial C25k-er, but always found continuous running caused me physical issues which ended up with 18 months out with injury. During those 18 months, my body healed and due to a chance meeting with a group of Jeffers at a local Parkrun .. the gateway to my Jeffing journey opened! It has been a journey since then where I have further learnt about Jeffing, Jeffed various different distances, joined our Couch to 5k group in 2025 to teach some of our runners Jeffing and Jeffed the London Marathon. I am still a slow plodder, but the movement, being out there and doing is more important to me than speed. I want to spread the word about Jeffing and how it can keep you moving. I have a huge passion for supporting runners who remind me of myself – those who think they can’t, those who may find physical activity a little harder and those who may not fit inside ‘the box’ … but with the right people and knowledge around them, they can! Let’s open that box and show everyone you can – I will help you do that!
