My aim for running was to set a healthy example to my children and wanting to get fit and healthy after my second child. It started with obstacle racing then went into running various distances to finally reaching my ultimate goal enjoy running. I have recently joined a specific running group in Maulden which bought me to enjoy the sociable parts of running and meeting likeminded people. Along with this group I have recently been a part of a local group within my village and been given the unique opportunity to build this running community together, along with Andy who started this group. I have started to enjoy running distances and so far favourite distance is 50K, I have made life long friends and like minded crazies who are willing to put up with my chatting and occasional singing. Joining the groups has helped improve my confidence and given me the opportunity to train for wider events in a group of like-minded people. It’s also given me the opportunity to get to know the area well from running around our lovely village.
