Strength & Conditioning

We have partnered with the University Of Northampton to offer strength & conditioning sessions. Strength and conditioning isn’t just “extra work” — it’s essential fuel for a faster, safer, and more resilient running body. It can make a huge difference to your overall health and fitness.

Parking: Any car park at the University, the closest is Car Park 1 (pay for parking). Alternatively, Mid Summer Meadow Car Park (5 min walk, pay for parking), Delapre Abbey or Northampton Skate Park (both 10 min walk, free parking).
Info: These sessions are made just for our members — so it’s all yours with no one else around! You’ll be guided by qualified instructors from the university, supported by enthusiastic students, with a super-friendly trainer-to-participant ratio of around 1:3 (or even less). That means plenty of hands-on attention, so you can make the most of your time and get all the support you need to smash your goals!


Pilates
Pilates helps runners build core strength, hip stability and balanced muscle control, which improves running efficiency and reduces injury risk. By strengthening the glutes and deep stabilising muscles, it supports better posture and alignment, especially when fatigue sets in. Pilates also improves mobility and body awareness, helping runners move more efficiently, recover better, and stay consistent in their training.

Info: These sessions are exclusively for our members, creating a comfortable and welcoming space to focus on your own progress. You’ll be guided by Julie, our qualified Pilates instructor, who offers supportive, expert instruction throughout. With class sizes limited to 12, everyone receives plenty of individual guidance and personal attention.
