Join us on Thursday 18th December for 5k of running, walking, dancing, singing and festive cheer - wear a Christmas jumper, Christmas lights, light sticks, fancy dress and anything Christmassy to raise a smile to celebrate everything Christmas - there might even be mince pies at the end!! Book the 'RTC Christmas lights run' through the app or under 'sessions' on the website.
RunTogether Canterbury is a city-based group of runners, emerging runners, dedicated jeffers and walkers. We started as a few running friends back in 2020, when lockdown was released, and have since established ourselves as a great social running and walking group.
Running and walking are widely agreed to be both physically and mentally beneficial; add a group of like-minded and friendly people, and you have the perfect combination of a healthy hobby, improved fitness, enhanced mental health, and friendship.
We offer supportive and inclusive running and walking opportunities for everyone. Whatever your reason for getting out there, whether it's to improve your fitness, fight depression or achieve personal goals, we invite you to join us.
We welcome runners of all abilities; however, we suggest our current social runs are most suited to those already comfortable running continuously for 30 minutes or more. These are social runs; we run at a chatting pace, and no one gets left behind.
If you want to join a running group but don't quite feel ready, join our jeffing group, a group that combines running and walking in 30 second ratios - suitable for new starters, those who are injured or returning from injury or illness, those who find running for more than 10 minutes too tough but want to improve their fitness and anyone interested in joining us but fearful of the running group pace.
Every January we lead a Couch to 5k programme for those wanting to start running. If this is a long way off do consider joining our Wanderers Walking group to build up your fitness and meet some lovely group members. Alternatively, if you don't want to wait until January and are keen to get running, in 9 weeks you can follow the One You Couch to 5k programme and reach a fitness level to join our social runs.
Click on the 'SESSIONS' tab to book a run or a walk soon.
Feel free to use the 'CONTACT' tab if you have any questions not already answered on our FAQ page.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
